:::::Well the only link is that his philosphies and beliefs are greatly influenced by Crowley. So the majority of similarities would already be pointed out with Crowley (hopefully). Thats the only link. I think the other link is that Crowley's belief system is often mistaked for Satan Worship, while LaVey is a philosopher of Satanism (two completely different practices, but often mistake for each other).--[[User:Killthesmiley|Killthesmiley]] 14:48, 1 February 2007 (CST)

Deletion

I nominated this page for deletion over a week ago, and so far no one has opposed. If nobody disagrees in another day or so, I'll take care of it. OwenIsCool 17:02, 29 January 2007 (CST)

I don't 100% agree or disagree. I think influences were pulled from his philosophies. Maybe more of a biography and explanation of his theories that mirror occurances in LG15 would be more suitable?--Killthesmiley 14:06, 1 February 2007 (CST)
That might be better. See, I wasn't around for some of the earlier speculation, so I'm not sure what people were talking about in the forums. If there were philosophies that he seemed to share with Bree's religion, this article doesn't mention them. If you're interested in revising it, that would be great. However, we're merging some pages like these to Possible influences of Bree's religion. Would you mind posting the revised content as a section there? OwenIsCool 14:17, 1 February 2007 (CST)
Give me time,a nd I'll be happy to write up a brief summary of similarities between some of his philosophies and Bree's prior to runing from the order, plus what we do know about the order from what she has told us, plus what OpAphid has shown us.--Killthesmiley 14:25, 1 February 2007 (CST)
I don't really like constant speculation, like how all over lgpedia comparisons are drawn with things otherwise never mentioned. I feel like if LaVey had ever really come up that'd be one thing, but the fact that he has some similarities with Crowley's beliefs isn't all that compelling a reason to give him his own page for me. I agree with HyeMew. We have a clearly established precedent on the LGPedia that our standards are much higher than the forums with regards to speculation. I won't rehash those arguments -- and I won't judge Anton LaVey until I see the evidence. But unless there's a direct connection to LaVey in lonelygirl15 or OpAphid, than he belongs on the Possible influences of Bree's religion page.--JayHenry 14:40, 1 February 2007 (CST)
