The message gave her an email address and instructed her to log in immediately, saying that she would know the password. Her first guess logged her in.
Maddison found YouTube, Revver, Lonelygirl15, and MySpace accounts that had all been set up in her name the day before. In the inbox was an email from a "Mr. Zipp," apparently the person who sent Maddison the message and set up the accounts. In the email, he describes himself as a "worried parent with certain people watching my every move who impose severe restrictions on my interactions with my only child" and asks for her help to "save my child's life."
