8 minutes

8 minutes is not cemented yet......but its a possible candidate: see LG15 today for articles on 8 minutes - it could also fit under 436--modelmotion 13:15, 6 June 2007 (CDT)

>WEll... the 436 actually occurs in 8 minutes to everyone else, but to the attacked it can be days...

I think it is the other way around, the absent commenter is gone for days to everyone else, but when they check their own watch upon returning, only 8 minutes have passed.~ QtheC 23:47, 6 June 2007 (CDT)

I agree that Q has the correct interpretation of the 8 minutes. According to the myth Joe was experimenting with a universal time zone but something went wrong. I believe that he thinks he estimated the location of the 436 and that caused the experiment to go wrong.--modelmotion 01:06, 7 June 2007 (CDT)

Breeniversisms

The word Breeniversisms does not exactly roll off the tongue. Perhaps Breenivism or Breenirism should be considered as alternatives.--modelmotion 18:12, 6 June 2007 (CDT)

I like the alternative Breenivism, but have trouble remembering it now that my brain is locked onto Breeniversism. It rolls. Just say Breeniverse, then say ism. Also, the alternatives might complicate future discussions of Breenivision, Breeniderision, and Breenyincision. And what of Breenism and Breeism and Brism and Bism? Let us not mire ourselves in Breenyindecision.

Hey, this reminds me - we need to add "Breenisnacks" to the list. ~ QtheC 05:43, 7 June 2007 (CDT)

"Breeniverse, then say ism' - oh thats, that really helps a lot. I think that should probably go on the main page because I have been going around saying Breeniwhatevers for the past few days. Now i understand the derivation I think i can master it.--modelmotion 15:51, 8 June 2007 (CDT)

Tom

Tom and Katie, Becks and John should make it onto the list in some context. Tom first came on the scene when connections were drawn between Crowley and L.ron Hubbard, the leader of Scientology. Some speculated that Tom may even participate in the ceremony and that might even lead to some kind of mystical baby. Katie, Becks and John all entered the scene as time went bye and have played various roles in the continuing saga of Tom and LG15. Most have speculated that these are well known celebrity references.--modelmotion 15:38, 8 June 2007 (CDT)

The Great War

"minor squabble between those that prefer butter on their toast (comments) and those that prefer toast under their butter (forums)" Because its very nature was highly divisive I am not even sure that "The Great War" should be talked about here. However, to characterize it as a minor squabble does not accurately portray what happened or its consequences which are still felt today. This was a major battle between two groups who have an intrinsically different view of the world and how order should be sustained. It lasted several days and there were many casualties. It has resulted in deep divisions between and within communities that still have an impact today. Understanding "The Great War" is fundamental to understanding the social dynamics of LG15.com. Today we live at peace but "The Great War" will never be forgotten although many people have moved onto respecting and appreciating the differences between LG15 communities and the people who live in them. Please do not disrespect the memory of those who have struggled to achieve all this by characterizing it as a "minor squabble"--modelmotion 11:05, 9 June 2007 (CDT)

Fair enough, and thanks for the clarification. rosieiswatching suggested on the blog that "The Great War" be added to the list. I think it makes sense to include because it is one of those things that people reference without explaining what it is. Unfortunately, I don't know it what was about first hand, only by inference, and that it had something to do with comments vs. forums. ... so feel free to update the "definition" with something that is more appropriate than the joke about butter and toast, which was really just a placeholder. ~ QtheC 16:55, 10 June 2007 (CDT)
