Even though not much is known about LaRezisto, we now know that it was a ruse to try and capture Emma. Viewers were led to believe from their first video that LaRezisto was the leader of The Resistance. It appears as if the video was a recruitment video for others to battle the Order. Fans speculated that LaRezisto would play the role of a new Tachyon figure, but is and was highly unlikely due to the fact that the OpAphid ARG is no longer a part of the lonelygirl15 video series.

After the death of Bree, LaRezisto seemed to appear out of nowhere to continue the fight against the Order. They first revealed that Jonas's parents were still alive, and that their adopted daughter, Emma, was a Ceremony Girl. Eventually, LaRezisto convinced Jonas that Emma had powers that could destroy the Order, based off Shadow of Death. The mysterious green, sollohuetted figure finally revealed herself in Join Me!, revealing her name to be Claire. LaRezisto offered to train Emma how to harness her powers by Claire, whom claimed to also be trait positive. However, after letting Emma and Claire go off deeper into the woods, Jonas was approached by a Watcher named Virgil. He then revealed that Claire was a Shadow.

The Rogue Elder is revealed.

In My Fatal Mistake, Virgil explained to Jonas that LaRezisto was created by a rogue Elder. Virgil also said that he was "the one who tried to kidnap Bree." His goal was to use Emma to perform the Ceremony and allow him to live longer. In What Happened?, the rogue Elder revealed that his organs were about 90 years old, despite his appearance of a 40 year old man. He has no concern for the principles of the Hymn of One. Claire, his Shadow, on the other hand, does.

In What Happened?, Claire shoots the rogue Elder, seconds before she herself is shot by Virgil who rescues TAAG.

Confusion

Many fans believe that LaRezisto was the Rogue Elder. But that is not true. The account belongs to Claire. It was created to lure Emma close enough so that the Rogue Elder could use her.

Notes

• Initially, fans incorrectly identified La Rezisto as the Spanish translation of The Resistance. However, "resisto" is actually a verb meaning "I resist" and "la" is the feminine definite article, thus LaRezisto makes no sense as it would be literally translated "the I resist." In correct Spanish the name would be "La Resistencia".
• La Rezisto means "The resistance" in the international planned language Esperanto.
• The feminine article la is an example of lg15's reoccurring feminist themes.
