Transcript

Julia: Hiya! Right. Two things. One, it's valentine's day and I don't have any chocolates, any flowers; therefore nobody loves me. But, two, it's a very big day for me today. And this is just between us behind-the-scenes. It's my first day as a presenter! Lee seems to think I'll be the next Anne Robinson... and he thought that was a compliment.

(Tariq enters the office, followed by Justin.)

Tariq: Yeah. (Laughs.)

Julia: They've been in over an hour. Think it's good news.

Justin: It just goes to show: you can't trust 'em.

Tariq: Got it.

Justin: Well... (Shakes Tariq's hand.) Thanks for coming in.

Tariq: Thank you.

Justin: And I'll send you that thing.

Tariq: Yeah. (Knuckle bumps Justin's hand.) Safe.

(Justin laughs and leaves. Julia gets up as soon as he's gone.)

Julia: So? (Hugs Tariq.) Do we have a new technical manager or what?

Tariq: Um, yeah! We're great.

Julia: Wicked. Let me film you leaving the building.

(Julia grabs the camera and follows Tariq into the hall.)

Tariq: Look, um... Thanks for putting in a good word for me.

Julia: Oh, Tariq-

Tariq: No, no, you did. And it really means a lot to me. So, um, I just got you a little- (Grabs a heart-shaped box of chocolates out of his bag.) little something. (Hands it to Julia.) It's not a Valentine's Day present... But there is one chocolate missing. I'm only joking.

Julia: Typical.

Tariq: But, uh... A-and thanks for the Van Helden shoot tomorrow, for finding it for us. And it still on?

Julia: Yeah, it's all good.

Tariq: Is it still okay to come and ask questions?

Julia: Yes. Please don't be late.

Tariq: 'Kay, Jules. Thanks.

Julia: Okay, I'll see you later.

Tariq: See ya.

(Julia hugs Tariq and they kiss each other on the cheek.)

Julia: Bye!

Tariq: Buh-bye! (Heads out the door.)

Julia: (Laughs.) And now, it's time for my new job! Come!

(Julia walks back to the office. She sits her box of chocolates on her desk, and Lee appears from behind another desk at the back of the office.)

Lee: Is he gone?

Julia: Lee...

Lee: He has gone, hasn't he? (Gets up.) What was he doing here?

Julia: Look, Tariq's reasonable. Just appologize to him.

Lee: Yeah. I suppose it could have been worse. I-It could have been Gavin!

Julia: Exactly.

Lee: That would have been a nightmare!

(Justin enters the office carrying a plastic bag.)

Justin: Alright, you lot. (Claps his hands.) It's time for Jules's big debut.

Julia: Lee, get it all from behind the scenes.

(Julia hands the camera to Lee and walks over to Justin.)

Justin: Here you go; put that on. (Hands the plastic bag to Julia.)

Julia: Thank you!

Justin: And we'll get started!

(Julia leaves. The scene cuts and Julia re-enters in a bikini. She looks irritated at Justin as someone whistles.)

Julia: Justin, where's the rest of the outfit?

Justin: (Laughs.) You look just fine. (Julia's co-worker enters, carrying a sign.) It's the new late-night phone-in format I've developed.

(Julia grabs the sign from her co-worker and turns it around to show that it says "LATE NIGHT BOOB-CAST.)

Julia: Are you having a laugh?

Justin: Now, w-w-we'll fake all the phone calls for the pilot; it's not a problem.

Julia: You're a dick. (Shoves the sign at Justin and leaves.)

Justin: (Laughs.) What- Is, is it me? (Turns the sign toward the camera.)
