Richard Rushfield is an entertainment reporter at the LATimes who helped break the wall of silence and mystery surrounding the LonelyGirl15 mystery. He was approached by a group of three LG15 sleuthers, occasionally referred to as the Phorum 3 who had secretly tracked IP addresses of the LG15 creators that led to the Creative Artists Agency in Beverly Hills, California. A few hours in advance of an LATimes article that was released on the evening of September 7, 2006, the Creators of the Lonelygirl15 project revealed on the Lonelygirl15.com forum that LG15 was not "real."

This article could be cleaned up more, assuming you agree its worthwhile to have an article on richie rushfield.
