Image Categories

Sure, I can certainly try! I actually don't know how to put things in categories, but I'm about to go try to learn, and then I will definitely categorize the ones I uploaded. --Truncatedslinky 02:24, 1 June 2007 (CDT)

Awesome thanks a TON. The syntax for putting an image (or any page for that matter) into a Category is: [[Category:Category Name Here]] If you look at the image category, I think most of it should be pretty easy to follow. Largely images are going to have character and location components, but of course, depending on what the image is it may be better suited for more/less cats than that. I hope that made sense, it's 3 am. But yeah. Let me know if you have any questions or whatever! --Zoey 02:36, 1 June 2007 (CDT)
Thank you so much! Yeah, it's about 3 AM here, too, but that made almost perfect sense. Except... when I read the word cats, I didn't think "categories"-- for some reason, the first thought I had was "There are images of cats on here?" haha.. Oh well, I just categorized my very first image and I promise to do it from now on.  :-) --Truncatedslinky 02:47, 1 June 2007 (CDT)
Yipes, sorry!! I keep reminding myself and I just can't seem to remember! I'm writing a post-it note to myself and sticking it on my monitor. --Truncatedslinky 01:02, 7 June 2007 (CDT)
I didn't even forget, that time, you're just fast like whoa! --Truncatedslinky 18:09, 8 June 2007 (CDT)
LOL! Do you know that when you upload an image, there's a box called "Summary" to enter the categories immediately as you upload? Saves time... --Zoey 18:13, 8 June 2007 (CDT)

About my reaction...

Just wanted to make sure you know it was/is nothing personal. I was just kind of caught off guard, and I majorly disagree with the way deletions are handled at the moment - but that does not mean I have anything against you or your work, personally, and I'm sorry if my initial responses seemed like that. I'm pretty sure you had no hostile intentions, and I do not assume you targeted "my" templates out of any ill will or animosity. It's just not a particularly nice sight if you come online, check the changes, and the first thing you see is that the templates you coded, without having any technical flaw, are about to be deleted in 24h. -_-

So, as said...sorry if I sounded like I was blaming you, personally. I was mad at the situation, not at you.

~ Renegade (talk | contribs) 20:03, 4 June 2007 (CDT)
No, it's okay. But I appriciate you saying this. I really do hope you know that I was in no way trying to single you out. I did leave the deletion tag up for six days, and after no objections put up a 24 hour notice thing. I'm sorry if it caught you off guard, but I was just trying to follow the deletion policy on the site. And I certainly wasn't trying to single you out by any means. And I'm sorry if you felt that way. --Zoey 23:05, 6 June 2007 (CDT)

Gah! Im sorry

So so so so sorry. I was fixing it up, and my windows crashed again. If you haven't heard, my computer sucks lately. I am SOOOOO sorry I didn't fix the format for the chat. I comletely forgot to go back. You're my hero now.

Honestly, sorry. Sooooooooo sorry. --Bxman 00:27, 6 June 2007 (CDT)

Ugh, I don't blame you. It was a long transcript :P --Zoey 23:05, 6 June 2007 (CDT)

Great job

Saw the editing you did to the chat with Greg. That was a lot of line-breaks. That was even worse than all the ones I had to do with Bree's June 4 chat the other night. Again, good work. Lurker 19:27, 6 June 2007 (CDT)

Ohmygod, that was such a pain in the arse XD. Greg was in the chat for a seriously long time. And yeah. Actually removing the timestamps was the most tedious part... hopefully I cleaned it up properly. It might be worth having someone double check it. My eyes are about to implode from looking at that page too long ;P But um, thanks! And nice work on the June 4 chat by you too!! --Zoey 23:05, 6 June 2007 (CDT)

LGPedia:Participate

I saw you say it's "not quite ready yet", but you left no explanation what was wrong?

~ Renegade (talk | contribs) 17:28, 16 June 2007 (CDT)
Woops, sorry. I mentioned a few things in Lucy's balcony, but um also, for some reason, the noinclude text was showing up on the recent changes page. Not sure why... --Zoey 17:29, 16 June 2007 (CDT)
Well, if everything else works, just kill the noinclude? It's not like it'd be the first undocumented template on here...
(And since this one is not for general use, it doesn't matter much, either.)
~ Renegade (talk | contribs) 17:38, 16 June 2007 (CDT)
P.S.: Make sure the template is the first element of whatever line you add it to...everything else makes it decompose itself, for some reason...
Hm, could it be because it's LGPedia instead of Template? I can just delete it.. but ew, I'd rather not :P. And um, the stuff I said on Lucy's Balcony too... although that can be changed once it's up and all... --Zoey 17:46, 16 June 2007 (CDT)
No, I assume it's because Recent Changes is a special page rather than a normal page - since the noinclude text does not show up directly on MediaWiki:Recentchangestext, for example. I checked both Wikipedia and Meta-wiki, and neither of them use templates on recent changes, even though they do it everywhere else - I assume this is the reason.
So while I would prefer it to have some documentation just as well, I'm gonna go and remove the noinclude now, and do the changes you suggested. As said, it's not like everybody will go and try to include that page now - it's used once, that usage is/will be done, so there doesn't have to be any help on how to use it further...where to add items is explained in the source.
~ Renegade (talk | contribs) 17:52, 16 June 2007 (CDT)
Kay, I'll wait for your updates and then go ahead and re-add it. --Zoey 18:02, 16 June 2007 (CDT)
Text size big enough for your eyes? ;)
~ Renegade (talk | contribs) 18:05, 16 June 2007 (CDT)
Yay! Looks good! This page is getting long... I should really make an archive for some of my older talk discussions.... (/random thought) --Zoey 21:15, 16 June 2007 (CDT)

Template:FanPerson

I see your were having problems, but due to lacking revision comments :P I don't quite understand what you were trying to do?
Tell me what it is, and I can try to help. ;)

~ Renegade (talk | contribs) 04:19, 24 June 2007 (CDT)
Haha, sorry. I was too busy pulling my hair out to give a good summary I guess. Basically, I'm trying to make the first/last fields work conditionally. They work fine on Template:Person, but on FanPerson, I made them conditional and they're not showing up, regardless of whether a person has something entered for first/last or not. I don't GET it... grr. --Zoey 13:12, 24 June 2007 (CDT)

Yay THANK YOU! I really need to figure out how to do this for myself. But in the mean time, hey, it gives us a reason to keep you around at least ;) (hehe, kidding if you didn't pick up on that :() --Zoey 14:54, 25 June 2007 (CDT)

Creators chat last night

Did anyone here manage to catch the log? My DSL got shut off, so I couldnt get on (dumb "under our roof" rule).

Nice to see you in IRC, and glad it works better then lg chat. It usually does. Someone told me typing out www.lonelygirl15.com, with the www., helps to make it work better. --Bxman 10:18, 28 June 2007 (CDT)

Well, my computer still isn't working (it will be four to six weeks before it is apparently x_x), so I've been sneaking on other peoples computers in the mean time. I've been able to access the LG chat and the IRC chat from other places, but not on my comp yet... and I tried both with and without the www. I'll have to check the IRC chat once I get my comp back... see if it works. I didn't even know it existed last time I had my comp lol. And ugh, I didn't know there was a Creators chat last night! I'm so bummed, I totally missed it!! Hopefully someone got a log of it... :( --Zoey 18:32, 28 June 2007 (CDT)

Acrowleyorder transcripts

I plan to transcribe the majority of them (with the exception of the one marked "graphic content" because I'm too nervous to actually view the video). Though I'm not the best at transcribing, so it may be iffy in a few places, So it might be a good idea if someone better at it than I am checked it over. --FH14 23:38, 3 July 2007 (EST)

Okay, that's no problem! As long as you actually planned to do them. A lot of times people create the pages and never transcribe them, which is truly a waste. I'm sure you'll do a fine job. Just keep to the format of the other vidoes and keep them.. tidy and stuff and they'll be hunky dory, promise! :D You might also want to consider just creating the page and then transcribing them as you go... it seems less massive and then you're not just.. creating pages. Yeah, just a thought ^^ --Zoey 22:43, 3 July 2007 (CDT)
