Transcript

Jonas: Hey, everyone. We rented a cabin in the woods. You know, we came here to try and re-group. I'm staying up with Emma; you know, just to make sure she's okay. (Zooms in on Emma sleeping.)

She lost a lot of blood, you know? But I think she's gonna be alright. Food and rest are everything. (Laughs and looks at Emma.) I still can't believe how brave she was, you know? I mean, what she went through? She killed an Elder. My little sister killed an Elder. (Laughs.)

Anyway, Emma and I both watched Dr. Hart's video...SOS. And I guess... God! I guess I just don't know what to think. You know, part of me really wants to believe him that Gina is Bree's older sister, but then a part of me just thinks, you know, why- why should I ever believe anything that Dr. Hart has ever said. But, I don't know.

And I really wanted to talk to Emma about Gina, but after the video... Emma was just- she was a mess. (Rubs Emma's arm.) You know, she- She didn't stop crying. I don't know, maybe it was that it was all finally over, you know? Maybe she just needed to let it out.

Well, look, we've been with Gina for... a day and a half now? And she hasn't said more than two words to me.

(Cut to Gina in the car.)

Jonas: You want a sandwich?

Gina: Okay.

Jonas: I'm gonna get you something. (Gets out of the car.)

(Cut back to Jonas with Emma.)

Jonas: The only person that Gina will talk to is Emma. And only when the two of them are alone together. It's kind of funny, actually. Couldn't shut Bree up, but her sister doesn't talk. (Laughs.) And Jennie thinks that Gina's in shock. Some kind of stockholm-post-stress-something-something, I don't know. But you know, whatever; Jennie thinks she knows everything.

Oh, and, uh... Dad, Emma got your email you posted on LG15.com and it really, really meant a lot to her that you guys care and all. It did. But she can't call you or write or anything. 'Kay? It's just... It's just too dangerous. And besides, this is Emma's family now.

• Though it's been more than two weeks, this video was apparently made shortly after Bloodlines: Part 4.
• By "stockholm-post-stress-something-something" Jonas probably means the Stockholm syndrome, in which an abducted hostage develops loyalty or even love to the hostage-taker. He also may mean Post-traumatic Stress Syndrome an anxiety disorder that can develop after exposure to a terrifying event or ordeal in which grave physical or psycological harm occurred or was threatened.
