Transcript

(The text Patient #11 appears on screen. Cuts to a man in a white lab coat writing on a clipboard with a girl in a white hospital gown lying on a exam table in the background. A jazz piano piece is heard in the background. The date 02/01/2001 is stamped on the bottom left. The girl fidgets about, humming to herself. The doctor moves a blood pressure machine beside the girl's bed and proceeds to examine her, checking her abdomen and neck. The girl then sticks out her arm out, Dr. Hart straps the blood pressure cuff onto it.)

Dr. Calvin Hart: Thank you.

Gina: Mm-hmm.

(Dr. Hart writes something on a clipboard and walks off screen. The girl, still visibly uneasy, sits up and begins speaking.)

Gina: What was that song you were singing yesterday?

(Dr. Hart returns on-screen, and approaches the girl.)

Dr. Hart: I don't sing songs.

Gina: (lying back down) You did yesterday.

(Dr. Hart removes the cuff and the girl coughs.)

Dr. Hart: "Piano Man", Billy Joel. How are the pills working for you - the green ones?

Gina: Besides the diarrhea, chills, and puking my guts out?

Dr. Hart: (chuckling) Yes, besides that.

Gina: Good. I can breathe a little better.

Dr. Hart: Good.

(Gina coughs. Dr. Hart wheels the machine off screen, and the girl continues to hum and fidget.)
