"RefusEtoBeliEveLies'" (the caps spell out "REBEL") was a fan-fiction character who sent comment board users a long series of anagrams in November and December 2006. Some game players (dubbed the "Cypher Crew") speculated she was Cassie since her messages seemed similar in style to cassieiswatching, but REBEL disclaimed any such connection.

Who is RefusEtoBeliEveLies?

The most common assumption in the bginning was that she was Cassie since the messages seemed similar in style to cassieiswatching. There also seemed to be links to frankiswaking. But REBEL herself told us that she is not Cassie.

As to the question if the anagrams are canon or fanfic, nothing definite is known either. Public opinion tends towards it being fanfic.
