The Opposite of Great is the eighth video in the Betz281 video series, and the eighth video of The Flock Season 2.

Transcript

Betz: If you are seeing this video, you're one of my most trusted and loyal friends. Everything is not great. Everything is so not great. Everything is the opposite of great. You see, after I confronted Mike and he explained everything to me, I was still suspicious. I mean, that note from Sandra? It wasn't even hand-written. So I just decided to act like everything was okay until I could find out more. And that very night, Mike brings this white-noise machine to bed. He says he's having trouble sleeping. Mike never has trouble sleeping. So I closed my eyes and pretended to fall asleep. I decided to recite the alphabet backwards. I figured I'd wait for Mike to fall asleep. I mean, maybe I was being paranoid. There is a chance that he's telling me the truth, and if he falls asleep then the machine would obviously be harmless. But then he nudges me, and asks me if I'm asleep. When I didn't answer, I hear him get up. And then this music came on the machine, and I hear him leave the room. It sounded like chimes repeating over and over. I just lay there, repeating the alphabet backwards. I didn't know what else to do. I was so scared. And then, about a half-hour later he comes back in the room to make sure that I'm still asleep, and he whispers in my ear: "Tomorrow, I'll have my beautiful wife back and we can put all of this behind us." (Pause). There's a name that kept popping up in the files, a colleague of Mike's. I've never met him, I've heard him mention his name. But I also found a phone number. I don't know what I'm going to say, but I'm going to call that number.
