Jennie: I've always considered myself a good person. I mean, I guess everybody thinks that, but... Telling yourself you're a good person doesn't make you one. You can talk all you want, but it's the doing that matters.
(Sighs.) Who knows if Carl is telling the truth about Sacred Spirit. I mean, he's already fooled me once. And, don't worry, I didn't go off on him when he showed up. I've done enough of that already. But...
It did bring up something that's been on my mind. What am I doing with my life?
(Cut to Jennie carrying a sign on the beach. She lifts the sign up to show it to the camera. It reads "1 in 6 people around the world live in poverty". Cut to her holding another sign reading "1 billion kids live in poverty". Cut to another sign reading "I used to care about this". Cut to another sign reading "I used to be dedicated to helping others". cut to Jennie walking along the beach.)
We all want to feel that what we're doing counts, don't we? That we're not just insignificant pieces of cosmic dust. That our lives actually mean something, right?
(Cut to Jennie holding a sign reading "Half the world lives on less than $2 a day". Cut to another sign reading "Poverty can be cured". Cut to her holding another sign reading "So I still want to make a difference?" Cut to Jennie sitting on the beach.)
The truth is, now Gina's here, it's a big change. I mean, Jonas hasn't said anything to me about how he feels having her here. I- I think that's strange. It's like he's leaving something unsaid.
When people leave things unsaid, it's unsettling. I-it makes you start questioning things... people... Even yourself. Sometimes I just... don't know why I'm here; what it all adds up to.
I think it's about time I got back to doing good, rather than just talk about it.
