- The timer on Carl is counting down from 2 minutes, and Sarah says she got the video file in the morning, this could mean Carl was already dead by the time the video was posted
- This episode's title could be a reference to the musical 'tick, tick... BOOM!' by Jonathon Larson, or the song 'Tick Tick Boom' by The Hives. It could also be a slightly changed reference to the Saliva song 'Click Click Boom'
