(Sarah is sitting at the ground in a tent. Behind her are some wooden boxes.)
Sarah: Hi guys, it's your wayward pal Sarah. I'm sorry I disappeared, you know, I... I didn't mean to, it's just... we're only allowed five minutes a week on the computer, and this has been the first chance I've had to catch up. After Jonas ditched me (leans forwards to the camera) -- thanks, Jonas, by the way -- I was just gonna go back into town, find a bus and come home. But then some of the people from the Lullaby Project... they asked me if I wanted a lift and I took it. I was just gonna stay for dinner, but... (smiles, looks around) as you can see... I'm still at the Lullaby Project. (little laugh) I know this place is full of crazy Hymn of One'rs, but... there are some really cool people here. You know, people who just wanna make a difference. And... we are making a difference.
Today was my first day on the field. My, uh, friend Jenny and I, we helped these two doctors set up this portable medical facility. And while they were finishing up, her and I went around and handed out Lullaby care packages to all the local women. They were... so grateful and incredibly nice. I mean, this one woman just came out of her house with this huge plate of food and... it was for us! You know, that's, that's... that's amazingly generous. Because when you think about it, these people, they... they don't have anything. They're getting by on nothing. It was such an amazing day. And... I haven't felt that good about doing something in... (thinks) ever.
Some things are a little hard to take, though. Like "Song Circle". That's how we start our day. (Images of Sarah, Carl, Chris and Claudia outside, sitting around a stone circle, in a mediative position.) We're supposed to listen to our internal, eternal song. Yeah. (Cuts back to Sarah) Jenny shot that. She thinks this Hymn of One crap is as ridiculous (rolls her eyes) as I do. (little laugh) Yeah, you know. But she says: "We eat their food and sleep in their tents. So when in Rome, be a gladiator!," she says. She cracks me up.
I don't really know what's going on with you guys, but on my next five minute shift, I'll try to check my email or watch a couple of videos. But for now, I have to edit and post this, because it takes forever. (rolls her eyes) The computer here is not exactly state of the art. What can I say; the non-profit life. Anyway, I'll try and check in again later, but we only run the generator for a hour a day. I'll talk to you guys later. Bye.
