Larry is Rachel and Aly Zarin's annoying neighbor in Redearth88. Apparantly, as Aly was moving in, Larry just stood there the whole time, not helping, and then finally asked out Aly, but got shot down...and made some horrible joke about how on the second date she would show up with a U-Haul.
The character is most likely a homage to Larry Dallas, the lecherous and annoying neighbor on "Three's Company."
