Transcript

(Focus in on Jayde running up a grassy hill with the city skyline behind her, and she walks up to a large concrete building. The camera pulls out and reveals that the Surveillance Guys are walking up the adjacent side of the building and have spotted Jayde. Jayde reaches a door and attempts to open it.)

Surveillance Guy #1: Jayde Cooper.

Surveillance Guy #2: Daughter of Deacon Cooper.

Surveillance Guy #1: It's a pleasure to finally meet you.

(Jayde walks away from the door and towards the Surveillance Guys.)

Jayde: I want to speak with the Elder.

Surveillance Guy #1: And what makes you think we'll let you see her?

Jayde: Because I know where Chasina Wilson, Mitch Evans, Bray Johnson, and Chloe Murray are.

(The Surveillance Guys look at each other and nod.)

Surveillance Guy #2: Come with us.

(The Surveillance Guys grab Jayde by the shoulders and lead her inside. Several different shots of the door not quite closing, then cut to black with a piano playing in the background. Cut to the Order piano room, where Hera is talking to her Shadow. The Surveillance Guys and Jayde enter, and the Elder gets up out of her chair.)

Hera: So, Jayde, you've finally come to your senses and given yourself in.

(Jayde scoffs and crosses her arms.)

Jayde: Hardly. I have something you want.

Hera: What can you possibly have that I want?

Jayde: I have information for you.

Hera: Jayde. Jayde, you of all people should know that we can amass, decipher, and extract informations we desire. I already have Leigh and Antonia, and the Black Widow will look out for Chasina.

(Hera looks at the Surveillance Guys and they nod is unison. Hera turns back to Jayde)

Hera: So what could you possibly-

Jayde: I can give you Chloe Murray.

Hera: Chloe's already been dealt with. It was a drug overdose. So perfectly dramatic. It was an obvious choice.

Jayde: Yes, but not made by you.

Hera: What?

Jayde: You slipped up. You lost her.

Hera: Don't you read the newspapers? It was front page for days. A textbook cover-up.

Jayde: But there was no official autopsy report. The Order wouldn't be so careless as to overlook arranging such a crucial detail. She faked her own death. She's still alive. In hiding. And only I know where.

Hera: What makes you so sure?

Jayde: Your stupid lackeys nearly wet themselves with excitement at the mention of Chloe's name.

(Hera glares at the Surveillance Guys and they look up at the ceiling. Jayde laughs.)

Jayde: So they brought me straight to you.

Hera: Deacon Cooper has obviously compromised her position. (To the Surveillance Guys) To what extent we'll have to find out.

(Surveillance Guy #2 nods and leaves. Hera turns back to Jayde.)

Hera: So. What are your terms?

Jayde: I want you to let my mom and I go. Leave us alone. Don't follow us. Let us live a normal life.

(Hera laughs.)

Hera: Oh, Jayde. Normality is a question of interpretation. (Pauses) Bring me Chas and Chloe. (Walks to her chair then turns around.) Then, maybe, I'll consider your proposal. (Hera sits down in her chair. Hera and Jayde glare at each other for a few seconds.) And those two stupid boys.

(Hera motions Jayde to leave, and Surveillance Guy #1 grabs Jayde's shoulder and leads her out of the room. Hera continues to stare even after Jayde is gone.)
