The Scary City is a web series created by Yumiko Aoyagi which stars lonelygirl15's Maxwell Glick in the American Storyline of the Series. The story will span several countries including Japan, America, Korea, Israel, the UK, France, and Thailand. The Japanese version begins with a murder mystery investigated by a Tokyo high school girl, whereas the American version of the story "revolves around a haunted Los Angeles apartment complex and the missing 10-year-old daughter of an architect who battles the building's unseen evil forces. Tenants from all over the world get caught up in the global intrigue." The series is also planned to have syndication on Facebook, MySpace, and YouTube.
The budget for the series has been announced at $5.2 Million, with the website worth $1.4 Million.
