Jake Coburn was a writer for a number of lonelygirl15 videos, starting with I hAtE tHeSe PeOpLe. Born in New York City in 1978, Jake grew up on Manhattan's Upper West Side and attended several different prep schools. In 2000, he graduated from Brown University magna cum laude with a degree in Modern Culture and Media. He currently lives in Los Angeles, California.
Jake has written two very successful novels. The first, "Prep," was published in 2003. In 2004, Benderspink and MTV Films teamed up to produce a movie version of the book for Paramount Pictures. His second novel, "Love Sick" was published in 2005 and has been named an American Library Association Best Book for Young Adults.
