LG15: The Show Is Yours is the name of a contest held by EQAL. After the conclusion of LG15: The Resistance's first season, EQAL was unable to get the funding necessary to fund a second season due to the worldwide economic crisis. They decided to take advantage of the creativity that had produced dozens of fan-series and videos among the LG15 community of fans, and allow viewers to create an eight-week webshow set in the lonelygirl15 universe.
Over the course of the contest's run, EQAL received eighteen pilot submissions. The winner was announced via live chat by Amanda Goodfried to be LG15: The Misfits. The pilot had caused significant controversy, as it had been produced by two former employees of EQAL (Jenni Powell and Logan Rapp) and starred two former cast members of the original lonelygirl15 series (Maxwell Glick and Becki Kregoski). The producers later pulled out of the project after they discovered that they wouldn't be fully financially compensated for their work on the show, despite the contest rules stating that there would be no financial reward. Because of this, the announced runner-up, LG15: The Last, (which was also planned to be featured on the site) was crowned the winner.
A second season of LG15: The Show is Yours has been announced.
