(Daniel and Jonas are sitting in front of the Griffin Observatory.)

Daniel: Griffith Observatory. Friday at 3. Stakeout. I should be at home right now, working on my short. Actually, I should have worked on it on last Wednesday with Mallory, but well, Mallory's... (Smiles and gives the thumbs up.) ..awe...

(Jonas giggles.)

Daniel: What?

Jonas: You're in love.

Daniel: Aw, dude. Don't even say that.

(Jonas laughs again.)

Jonas: Oh yeah, she's cool. (Snaps) Also, Daniel has decided to make his love life just a little bit more interesting by agreeing to give both Sarah and Mallory acting roles in the film that you are, uh, supposed to be working on right now.

Daniel: (Laughs.) You know what, it's cool, because I know what I'm doing. I'm on it.

Jonas: I hope you do. (Mouths silently to the camera -- "He has no idea.")

Daniel: Anyways, man. Fifteen minutes to three o'clock, and uh, to be honest, we're not really expecting any big showdown with the Order. I mean, it's pretty busy here.

Jonas: Yeah, no helicopters this time.

Daniel: Yeah, I hope not.

Jonas: We were really hoping that Emma would contact us this week (baby cries in the background), but uh, she didn't. And uh, I'm sure you all saw her video from yesterday. Yeah, it's just-I get it, I get it. I know where she's coming from. If I were her, I would want to run to be normal too, but for us it just... sucks. You know, without Emma, and the powers that she has or had or whatever, we're screwed. And uh, once again, I really don't know what we're going to do.

(Cuts to a scene from over a balcony. A man and a woman are sitting at a table.)

Daniel: Are you sure that's them?

Jonas: Yeah, that's them. Look to the right! Look! (Camera pans to the right to reveal Carl and Sonia pushing a baby in a stroller.) It's Carl and Sonia, right over there. Oh my god.

Daniel: Man, they have the baby.

Jonas: These guys must be like some kind of stork or something that brings the trait positive babies to these Hymn of One families.

Daniel: We've gotta go over there, man. That baby's just like Bree.

Jonas: No way, man no way. Look at them, man. They're brain-washed Hymn of Oners, they're not gonna listen to us, we're not one of them.

Daniel: What about Emma, she could talk to them. She's one of them. They would listen to her!

Jonas: Well, that's a great plan, except she's not here.

Daniel: Dude, Watcher! Watcher! We've got to move... move move move!! (Camera pans to a Watcher, who is lurking across the way.) We've gotta go, let's move!

(Watcher chases Daniel and Jonas through the Observatory and into the Los Angeles Zoo.)

Jonas: Go! Run, man!

(Jonas and Daniel continue fleeing, and stop behind a rock.)

Jonas: You see him?

Daniel: Go, go! He's following us, right there!

Jonas: What?

Daniel: Go, go, go!

(More running, scenes of the LA Zoo are shown.)

Jonas: So we're trying to ditch the Watcher, and the first public place we found was the zoo, so... I don't know, I think it might be working. (To Daniel) You see him?

Daniel: Shh, there he is right there!

Jonas: Where?

Daniel: There!

Jonas: Go, go, go!

Daniel: Dude, he's coming this way!

Jonas and Daniel: Go, go, go! C'mon!

(They run.)

Jonas: Whoa, whoa, stop, stop. What's the matter?

Daniel: I don't know man, did we lose him?

Jonas: I think he's gone.

(Camera pans over some flamingos.)

Jonas: Let's just get out of here.

(Cuts to Daniel and Jonas walking towards the rented house.)

Jonas: I'm tired. Oh, thank god we're here. Do your legs hurt?

Daniel: No.

(They walk up to the front door to find Emma sitting on the front step.)

Jonas: Emma!

Emma: Jonas!

Jonas: Oh my god! (He runs up and hugs her.) Emma, what are you doing here? Are you okay?

(Emma hugs Daniel.)

Emma: Are you okay?

Jonas: C'mere! (He beckons, and Emma hugs him again.)

Emma: Jonas! I wanna help.

Jonas: What? No, listen, forget about all of that.

Emma: No, listen to me, I'm sorry, okay? I didn't take the last injection, I couldn't. I'm gonna be here to help you guys from now on, I promise. (Jonas and Emma hug again.)

Daniel: Let's go, let's go inside.

Jonas: Yeah, let's go inside.

Emma: Okay.

(She picks up her bag, and they head inside.)

Jonas: Did you leave the door unlocked?

Notes

• Daniel's decision to include both current girlfriend Mallory and former lover Sarah in his short film project might be a reference to musician Bob Dylan's decision to include both his then-current wife Sara Lownds and former lover Joan Baez in his 1975 surrealist film Renaldo and Clara.

• The door being unlocked may be an indication that the Order has infiltrated where they are staying, or perhaps one of them had just forgotten to lock the door behind them (which seems unlikely)
