Cooling Off is the five-hundred eighteenth video in the lonelygirl15 video series. It is also the one-hundred eighth video of season three.

Transcript

(Sarah's legs and feet can be seen walking along the beach. She arrives at her towel and bag on the beach and sits down, turning the camera to herself.)

Sarah: (Sigh) I hate our new place already. It's like a zillion degrees and there's no air conditioning. This morning I woke up next to Daniel and I was totally soaked. Ick. Talk about gross. Anyway, I figured the sun is shining, so what better way to cool off then with a swim? Maybe get a little color while I'm at it. There's nothing worse than being cramped up in that sweat box. It is so not good for my complexion.

(Cut to a shot of the rolling waves. Sarah turns the camera to herself.)

Sarah: This whole eclipse nonsense has us all on edge. I mean, you thought we were paranoid before? As long as we stick to public places, we should be fine. But, I can't help but have this... awful feeling that something really bad is gonna happen. I mean, at least this time we have a date. August first. (Sarah pans the camera to the sun) (voiceover) The next solar eclipse. (Covers sun with hand)

(Cut to Sarah writing 08-01-08 in the sand.)

Sarah: (Voice over) We're not sure what it means to The Order. Jennie's at the library doing more research but I sincerely doubt some dusty book from the public library is going to tell us anything about a super secret cult. For someone so smart, she can be pretty naïve sometimes. (Cut to Sarah lying on her towel) Jennie freaked out when she the video that Jonas posted on Friday. Now she's tryna act all analytical and composed? You know, it's like the puts up this brainy wall so we can't see how she's really feeling. (Laughs) I don't know. If you ask me, she needs to get over Jonas ASAP. Just like I need to get in the water. (Sarah jumps up and runs to the water.)

(Cut to Sarah's hand over the camera. She removes it and is toweling herself off.)

Sarah: The moving on thing has been difficult on all of us. You know, and- ever since we found out about the solar eclipse thing, Daniel's been... a little distant. (Leans toward the camera) The last time he had a specific date, it was for Bree's ceremony. So now he's at the library with Jennie trying to do anything he can to help. It's j- he- he was just starting to reconsider school! You know, and- and working with DelMundo again. I just think he could be a really great filmmaker. And... I don't know. Maybe if he finds some direction then... I will too.

(Cut to Sarah reading on the beach. Daniel can be seen sneaking up behind her. He puts his finger to his lips while looking at the camera and kneels behind Sarah. He gives her a wet willy.)

Daniel: Wet willy! (Laughs)

Sarah: Oooh! That's disgusting! Why? Why? Is there a reason? I don't think so.

Daniel: (Sits in front of Sarah) There is no reason. Hi Bubbles. (Kisses Sarah)

Sarah: Hi. So, did you and Jennie find the Holy Grail or solve the DaVinci Code?

Daniel: Ah, ha ha ha, no.

Sarah: Ah, ha ha ha.

Daniel: We actually got a lot of useless information about moons and tides and planets and nothing good.

Sarah: Oh, I'm sorry.

Daniel: Yeah... I heard from Jonas though.

Sarah: Yeah?

Daniel: Yeah. He's heading back up to his parents' house.

Sarah: I don't think that's such a good idea.

Daniel: Why?

Sarah: I don't know, I- I just thought we were supposed to be keeping a low pro right now. You know? I mean, I- no, I'm g- I'm glad he's keeping his distance, you know? I think that's what's best for him and for us.

(Daniel nods and turns the camera off)
