Jackie Jandrell is a friend of Jessica Lee Rose who played Gemma in the lonelygirl15 series.
When the first Gemma video was posted, people did not yet know whether Gemma was a canon character or not. Fans quickly discovered that Jackie and Jessica Rose were friends on MySpace. This led many fans to assume that Gemma was likely a canon character.
After the video, Hi Gemma! it was confirmed that Gemma was an official character. The actress that played Gemma was soon identified as Jackie Jandrell.
Her MySpace profile lists her location as the United Kingdom as this is presumably where she's from. Her accent in the Gemma videos fueled much speculation on whether or not she is actually British. Fans knew that she lived in Los Angeles considering that all of the actors, creators, and production staff are based in Southern California. Later, it was learned that Jackie is from South Africa and she moved to England where she lived for many years. She went to LA to do a course.
Since Jackie's character Gemma was evidently killed by Brother in the video Gemma [Part V] it seems unlikely that Jackie will be featured in the series again.
