Katherine Pawlak is the actress playing the role of Emma.
She has played characters in a few small movies, in music videos, on TV and in theater, and has also done work as a writer. Katherine is fluent in Spanish, plays the clarinet, the piano and the guitar, can sing and dance, and is trained in martial arts. She is passionate about music and before playing the role of Emma on LG15, she was considering to pursue a songwriting career. She plays classical music, but mostly writes her own material, where she gains inspiration from Fiona Apple, Regina Spektor, and Queen.
Before getting involved in lonelygirl15, Katherine was interning for a casting director with another girl, who was friends with Jessica Lee Rose and recommended Katherine to watch the show. Katherine then saw an advert for the VH1 Big in '06 awards which honored Jessica. This sparked Katherine's interest greatly, and watched the re-cap posted on Myspace.com. By the time the casting notice for Emma came out, she was happy to apply.
She has watched the Lonelygirl15 Season 1 Recap and Season 2, but has avoided watching the older videos with Bree to prevent herself from picking up too many of Bree's mannerisms. She maintains that the two are seperate characters, and she doesn't want Emma to be considered the "new Bree."
Katherine enjoys music; her current favorite song is Exit music for a Film by Radiohead and enjoys Helena by My Chemical Romance. She also enjoys Radiohead, Spector, and the Beatles, Sex Pistols, The Ramones, Portishead,Queen, Amy Winehouse, Muse, Keane, The Strokes, The White Stripes, Coldplay, and many more. Even before she found out about "bloggers" on Youtube, Katherine used the site to find music.
