Transcript

(Driving shots of the gang driving along a coast. They arrive at at a beach.)

Daniel: Look, I'm just gonna get into it. In case you were wondering, yes, the Shadow is dead. Jonas and I took the body and we dumped it in an alley. We made an anonymous call to 911... I know that's morbid, but we didn't have a choice. I mean, we caught a lucky break but how many more of those do we really have? Anyways, the girls were pretty shaken up so we couldn't just sit around the house. I figured... that it's a nice day out and it's been such a long time since we've all hung out together... Why not spend a day at the beach?

(Camera pans to show Jennie and Jonas frolicking in the ocean.)

Daniel: Oh my, look at that guy. He thinks he has all the moves. But we all saw him getting into that hot tub -- smooth entrance buddy (smiles and laughs) See that? (camera pans to a bluff at the end of beach) We're at Point Dume. This is where they filmed the scene at the start of Planet of the Apes -- come on, the original one -- you know, where the top of the Statue of Liberty is sticking out of the sand. How's that for Film History 101? It's pretty cool. All right, anyway, that's enough chatter.

(Montage of the gang playing on the beach. Near the end, Gina writes "My feet are freezing" in the sand.)

Daniel: Jonas and I talked over the weekend. And you know what? He actually listened for a change. He understands that it's bad for us to split up... that we're stronger when we stay together. And guess what? Mr. Impulsive actually wants to come up with a plan before we go looking for her.

(Camera cuts to Gina, who is sitting alone on a hill alone, looking contemplative.)

Daniel: Jonas was right. Finding Bree's mom is what's best for Gina.

Notes

  • Daniel says that Point Dume is where they filmed the beginning of the 1968 film Planet of the Apes, when it was actually the ending.
  • TAAG is near water.
