- This article is about the show. For the movement, see the Resistance.
LG15: The Resistance was a fictional webdrama produced by EQAL, which ran from September 20th, 2008 to December 12th, 2008. It was EQAL's third LG15 show, and continued the storyline of lonelygirl15.
It debuted at the New York Television Festival on September 16th, 2008. It only had one season, which was 12 weeks long and featured one main 6-12 minute video uploaded each Saturday. Additionally, new content was added to LG15.com everyday in the form of short videos, text blogs, photos, and live chats from the characters.
On December 12th, 2008, the show had a 12in12 event where 12 videos were posted over the course of 12 hours from the characters. It acted as the season one finale of LG15: The Resistance. A second season was up in the air, as the EQAL team was unable to find sponsors. A follow-up series, LG15: Anchor Cove premiered in 2016.
Cast of characters
- Jackson Davis as Jonas Wharton, the son of one of the leaders of a former Resistance movement. He initially tried to move on with his life, but was forced back into the fight by Maggie and the FBI Agents pursuing him.
- Alexandra Dreyfus as Sarah Genatiempo, a young woman who has hurt Jonas and his friends more than once before. While it seems that she does have the group's best interests above her own, not all is as it seems.
- Marnette Patterson as Maggie Schaeffer, a trait positive who has been used by LifesBlood Labs as a blood supply and lab rat. After a mysterious escape, she launches a resistance movement against the Order called the Hymn of None.
- Brett Ryback as Reed Barnes, a creative college drop-out from Chicago who witnesses Jonas get kidnapped by LifesBlood Labs. Now a target himself, he joins Jonas and Sarah in their travels and battles against the Order.
- Bill Oberst Jr. as Dr. Leonard J. Alderman, head of LifesBlood Labs who kidnapped Maggie and used her as a blood supply. While he is often portrayed as cruel and greedy, he claims that his actions and research are ultimately noble.
- Reed Windle as Beaumont Charles, a janitor at LifesBlood Labs who falls in love with Maggie. He vows to save her from her prison, and succeeds in doing so, only to unintentionally hand her over to the Hymn of One.
- Yousef Abu-Taleb as Daniel, Jonas's friend from his past fight against the Order. He is Sarah's ex-boyfriend, and refuses to believe that she's changed and ignores her phone calls. He returns to video blogging at the end of the first season.
- Ashlyn Selich as Estelle, Reed's ex-girlfriend who lives in Pittsburgh and offers sanctuary to the Hymn of None. She immediately clashes with Sarah, and the tension between them peaks when Sarah walks in on Reed in bed with her.
- Amanda Goodfried as Lucy L., a ruthless operative of the Order who has tracked down and killed many of Jonas's allies. Missing in action for most of the season, she is seen in security footage taking Maggie from Beaumont for the Order.
