The Movie
The movie "Jumper", is due to be released in theaters on February 14, 2008. The film itself is based off the 1992 novel Jumper by Steven Gould. Starring Hayden Christensen, Jamie Bell, Samuel L. Jackson, Rachel Bilson, and AnnaSophia Robb, the premise is about "A genetic abnormality allows a young man to teleport himself anywhere. He discovers this gift has existed for centuries and finds himself in a war that has been raging for thousands of years between 'Jumpers' and [Paladins] who have sworn to kill them".
Integration with the Breeniverse
In a new, innovative way to advertise for the movie, the Creators devised a complicated subplot to the lonelygirl15/KateModern universe. There are two seemingly unrelated aspects that are tied into both one another and the story arc in different ways, both of which serve as viral advertisements for the movie.
Whatweird.com
The first, whatweird.com has been mentioned in several videos in both series, and numerous characters have been involved on the site's forums. The site's operator, Suzie, has her own subplot, and has herself been mentioned by Taylor in several of her blogs.
Jack
The second involves a teenage boy, Jack, who realizes himself to be a "Jumper", with the ability to teleport. His blogs have been featured on whatweird.com, as well as both series. Taylor has bridged the gap between the series and Jack's blogs by having Jack teleport to meet her in her home town of Zavalla, Texas.
